Codice Ivan nasce nel 2008 dall'incontro di Anna Destefanis, Leonardo Mazzi e Benno Steinegger. Da subito il lavoro del gruppo si orienta principalmente verso le arti performative/teatrali ma avviando anche un percorso di ricerca rivolto all'utilizzo di formati diversi. Nel 2009 Pink, Me & The Roses, lavoro d'esordio, in cui si riflette sul perché tutti i tentativi di dialogo sembrino destinati all'insuccesso e sul perché sia proprio il linguaggio a segnarne il fallimento, riceve il Premio Scenario.
Nel 2010 inizia il percorso di ricerca performativa We Wanna Be Your Happening di cui W.ROOM---VISITORS(SPACE), progetto specifico per Santarcangelo 40, è la tappa più recente: in che modo il concetto di velocità incide sulla nostra vita? e sulla nostra realtà? sul tempo, lo spazio, la memoria, l’oblio, il presente e il futuro? Del 2010 è anche il progetto video TANK-TALK (progetto per un'azione urbana collettiva).
Attualmente Codice Ivan è impegnato nel processo di ricerca che porterà alla presentazione di un nuovo lavoro, GIVE ME MONEY GIVE ME SEX, give me coffee and cigarettes_ _(?), che nasce dal bisogno di confrontarsi con un motore del fare quotidiano e con la sua spesso ossessiva ricerca: la felicità.

Codice Ivan was born is 2008 from the encounter of Anna Destefanis, Leonardo Mazzi and Benno Steinegger. The group's works moves from the performing arts/theatre fields to the investigation of different formats. In 2009, Pink, Me & The Roses, the debut work, that reflects on why all the attempts of dialogue seem destined to fail and why it is the language itself that marks the failure, receives “Premio Scenario”, Italian theatre's leading awards celebration.
In the 2010 the group starts working to We Wanna Be Your Happening, a new performative project that reflects on how the concept of velocity weights upon our lives and our reality. How does velocity influences time, space, memory, oblivion, present and future? W.ROOM---VISITORS(SPACE) the most recent chapter of the project was developed specifically for Santarcangelo 40.
In the 2010 the company also developed the video project Tank Talk (project for a collective urban action).
Codice Ivan is now focusing on a research process that will lead to the presentation of a new work: GIVE ME MONEY GIVE ME SEX, give me coffee and cigarettes_ _(?). A work born from the necessity of comparing with the wheels of modern life and its often obsessive research: Happiness.
